Prof. Itay Gil

Founder & CEO

Mr. Gil is an IDF Captain and served in Israel’s special forces paratroops brigade. After completing his compulsory service, he was chosen to join Israel’s elite counter-terror and hostage rescue commando unit, “Yamam”, where he became an operative later instructor and currently consultant. In the Yamam, Mr. Gil participated in as many as three missions each day over the course of ten years. Mr. Gil has adapted his 33-years of hand to hand and Krav Maga actual combat study to meet the needs of the real-life situations he faced in his fourteen years of active duty combat experience. Consequently, Mr. Gil became the chief close-quarter combat instructor for the unit. From 1992-1997 Mr. Gil was the executive director of all training programs for the Israel Border Police as well as the undercover police intelligence unit. During this period, he directed training programs for 5000 policemen and security personnel each year. Mr. Gil continues to serve in the IDF reserves where he is Captain and senior combat instructor and strategic mission planner for an elite undercover counter-terrorism team. Mr. Gil was responsible for the training for the security of the Israeli President for 10 years and have trained the security of the Ukrainian President on several occasions, as well as HRT, FBI, SWAT, Spetsnaz Alpha Group among others. Mr. Gil featured on History Channels “Human Weapon” series, BBC Special Forces “Ultimate Hell Week” and is recognized by Al Jazeera as a world leading aviation security expert.

Darjusch Bartsch M.A., Ph. D. (cand.)

Director eLearning

He works as an Islamic scholar, religious educator and educational researcher. He studied Islamic studies, Oriental philology and political sciences. He published until now several teaching materials, articles and books about didactics, interdisciplinary ,and present-related Islam researches. Furthermore he works as an independent consult for extremism-related security questions with regard to defense against terrorism and espionage. The focus of his work is on prevention and sustainable interventional work through education.

Sejoscha Agiri

Director / Protect Academy Germany

Mr. Agiri is one of few Master Instructors certified by Itay Gil and Protect. He is the 1st German Krav Maga Instructors certified under several Israeli organizations and top instructors. He is the founder and head coach of the German Krav Maga Federation. He is certified Law Enforcement instructor, taught at (Military) Wingate Institute and the security school of Jerusalem courthouse. His professional martial art background is Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing & Wing Chun. Since the year 2000 he is owner of one of Germany`s biggest martial art club and works for several years as a law enforcement instructor.

He was responsible for unarmed security at one of Germany’s biggest schools for security and public safety and was the first German Instructor who did seminars in the USA. Mr. Agiri is responsible for the teaching and instruction of Krav Maga Instructors (GKMF) and published the manual “Scenario Training For Successful Seminars”. For years he trained with Itay Gil official affiliate from PROTECT and founder of PROTECT GERMANY.

Thomas D Frontczak

Director / Protect Israeli Counter Terror Warfare Academy Europe

8 years of experience in various Martial Arts. 7 years of experience in Business Development specialising in Eastern European markets. 5 years of experience as Close Protection Operative in the United Kingdom. Specialist in Timoore-Systems (Certified by Timoore-Systems LLC) including: interNegotiations – which is the newest conception of replacing ceremonial negotiations games with instant forms of building positive relations and so called Maps of Expectations; Negotiations – classic and alternative models; FDP – which is the quickest and the most effective scheme of rapid interlocutor’s diagnosis (psychological x-ray); Nonverbal communication and body language.

Lanny L. Maxwell

Director / Protect Israeli Counter Terror Warfare Academy USA

Lanny completed his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University. He has over 19 years of teaching experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.  As Founder and CEO of Advanced Survivor and Quiet Time LLC, Lanny has held a Class 3 and Federal Firearms License for 17 years. His professional career also includes Competitive Shooting in the Production Pistol Class with multiple Pro-­‐Division wins nationwide.  As a Firearms instructor, from multiple organizations, Lanny has developed advanced skills and knowledge in multiple weapons platforms. He teaches pistol, carbine and long range rifle. His professional martial art background is Tae Kwon Do with 12 years experience, 3 as an instructor. 

Tom Gil

Sniper Instructor

Tom has started his service as a member of an infantry unit called KFIR that was specialized in Urban Warfare. Tom Gil is a former member of the Israeli IDF Elite Counter terror sniping school (LOTAR).  Tom is one of the top snipers and instructors in all of the Israeli IDF. As an instructor Tom has been the trainer for all the Elite Sniper teams in the elite Special Forces of the IDF. Tom is a Graduate of Sergeant Commanding School and was involved in operations and commanded in sensitive training drills and missions.

Alik Ron
Major General Israel Police (Ret)

Mr. Ron is a retired Major General of the Israeli Police. General Ron is a former combatant and commander of the most prestigious units in the IDF, later on he became the commander of the Israeli National Counter Terrorism Elite Unit “Yamam”. Mr. Ron is the Head Adviser and Professional support for existing and new anti-terror special units, in Israel and abroad.

 

Jack Dadon

Mr. Dadon holds an MA in political science and an MBA in business management, and has studied economics, mediation and diplomacy. A Major General (ret) in the Israeli Police, where he served from 1975 – 2004, Mr. Dadon was integral to the growth and success of the Israel Border Police. He was responsible for introducing and implementing many of the organization’s key programs. From 1998 to 2001, Mr Dadon was the commander in chief of the Israel Border Police, Israel’s paramilitary police infrastructure that contains four of Israel’s premiere counter-terrorism units and many other special operations groups. Mr. Dadon’s duties extended from liaising with the General Security Service and the IDF, to logistics and budgetary duties and personnel management. The Israel Border Police is a large, national organization comprised of thousands of policemen. As head of the organization, one of Mr. Dadon’s many successes was his establishment of a highly successful undercover special operations counter-terrorism unit that operates in hostile territory within Israel’s borders. Mr. Dadon has liaised with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on behalf of the State of Israel, and headed all intelligence and investigations in North America on behalf of the INP. He is also responsible for cooperation between the Israel National Police and Federal Law Enforcement in North America. Mr. Dadon has worked abroad with foreign governments on behalf of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Dadon specializes in managing large, complex organizations with a wide latitude of operational activities, logistics, infrastructure and human assets.

 

Eli Yitzhak
Strategic Security Consultant

Consultancy to main HLS organizations in Israel (Ministry of Defense, prison authority, I.S.A etc’). Consultancy for security projects for private and governmental sector in Denmark, Central America and Africa. Lecturer at various academic institutes and conferences on national security and HLS. Development of integrative security and customs solution for seaports, including a innovative cargo risk management software and inspection site. Consultant and assessment in various security fields – airports, border crossings, maritime, infrastructure etc.

 

Eyal Yaffe

Eyal Yaffe is a graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Philosophy and Politics. A Polygraph Examiner and a veteran of the Israeli general defense service along 25 years of service was an expert in intelligence and investigations a member of the Israeli polygraph institution and APA member (American polygraph association).

 

Dr. Avital Ginton

Dr. Avital Ginton is a Psychologist (Ph.D.) and a retired Commander (Colonel) of Israel Police, in which he served for 22 years (1977-1999).  In the last five years of his service he headed the Psychology & Organizational Counseling Division and before that the Scientific Interrogation and Behavior Section of the Criminal Identification and Forensic Science Division.  In that capacity he headed the Israel Police Polygraph Field Labs, School and Research unit (1977-1994).  His expertise includes in addition to  Psychophysiological Detection of Deception also other psychological applications for criminal investigation. Since his retirement he owns a private business for Consultation, Research and Applications in these matters. Dr. Ginton who is a full APA member since 2002, also officiated between 1995-2001 as an elected president of the Israel Polygraph Examiners Association (IPEA) of which he was among the five founders in 1986-7. Dr. Ginton has taught for many years (1971-1986) in the departments of Psychology and Criminology at Tel-Aviv and Bar-Ilan, Israeli universities, respectively.  From the former, he also received his B.A. and Ph.D. His formal education was mainly as a Physiological Psychologist. On 2004 he has resumed his teaching in Tel-Aviv University as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Law. Dr. Ginton also holds a Master degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government (1993).

Appointed for new Ship building Security Set up for Cruise ship Costa FAVOLOSA 2012 in Ship yard, Venice, ITALY. Appointed on Costa Deliziosa ship for World cruise in 2013. Represent Cost cruise line for Training review conference in Philippine in 2013. Coordinating antipiracy measures along with sea marshals in Piracy affected area Gulf of Aden, Somalia water.
